Personal Typeface, Terra - UMSL Spring 2020
Latin, for earth, Terra is based off of the classical typeface Bauer Bodoni. I created this typeface along with my hand type, VOICE, in an exploration of creative type using photographed elements. Terra's base is filled with rich, earthy colors and accents of purple, green, and golden plant matter. The soil is framed by hand-cut paper letters. The layered style adding subtle shadow and depth to the body of the letterforms.
